the 'Barun Trenk i njegovi panduri' Humanitarian and Assistance Society
    may 20th 1939
    Paper, coloured lithograph
    54 x 70 cm

The Diploma was issued by the Society to its member Dragutin Gretic. A horseman is placed above the text, flanked on both sides by figures of girls holding wreaths and coats of arms: to the right is the coat of arms of the Triune Kingdom, and to the right an unknown one. Below the text there are two figures of Trenk's militiamen, with a tree between them. To the left there is a larger building, to the right a smaller one. The Diploma is verified by the seal of the Society and the signatures of the president (illegible) and secretary (Franjo Palatinus).

Bought from Silva Fijacko, granddaughter of Dragutin Grzetic, in 1993.

The 'Barun trenk i njegovi panduri' Humanitarian and Assistance Society had held its constitutional gathering on June 26th 1935, but its statute was confirmed only in 1938. After 1940 there is no mention of the Society. The material dealing with the Society is being kept at the Croatian State Archives, Analytical Inventory, VI Group, inventory number 2240/1935.
