Commemorative Album of the First Dalmatian, Croat and Slavonian Exhibition of Agriculture, Industry and Art, held in Zagreb in 1864


Zagreb 1864 Paper, leather, metal, print 57 x 46 x 5.5 cm Printed book, bound: wooden cover covered in red leather, encased in bronze sheet with coats of arms of the Kingdoms of Croatia, Slavonia and Dalmatia. The Album was printed on the occasion of the first 'Dalmatian-Croatian-Slavonic exhibition', organised by the Chamber of Trade and Commerce of the city of Zagreb. The exhibition was opened by ban Josip Sokcevic on August 18th 1864. Chancellor Ivan Mazuranic held a speech at the close of the exhibition on October 15th. In the speech he pointed out the necessity of holding similar exhibitions. In the Museum from the beginning of the 20th century. I. Kampus, I.
