With the return of constitutional life (the October Diploma) the 'academic committee' initiated, at the 1861 session of the Croatian Parliament, the adoption of legislation concerning the National Museum. The book refers to the time after the proposed legislation, and before Francis Joseph I had confirmed the statute of the National Museum in 1866 In the Museum from the time it was written. M.
