Browning pistol


Herstal, Belgium after 1906 Steel, nickel, mother-of-pearl, forging, grinding, engraving, nickel coating length 13 cm, 6.35 mm calibre The basic construction of the pistol is the standard production model of semiautomatic weapons of that type, which was by later finishing touches turned into a luxurious object. All metal parts are decorated with engravings of a floral ornament and coated in nickel. The handle is coated with two mother-of-pearl plaques. The pistol has the manufacturer's marks: FABRIQUE NATIONALE D'ARMES de GUERRE HERSTAL BELGIQUE BROWNING PATENT DEPOSE, and the serial number 649646. Bought from Mrs Marija Irma Bona in Zagreb in 1985.
