Box for lead shot

    The box is made of thick brass sheet, joined with brazing. The front side is decorated with engraving of an oriental motif, while the two sides and top are decorated with incised geometrical figures. On the bottom, three loops are attached for hanging ornaments, while on the back there are two iron-sheet loops, used for hanging the box on a belt.

    The boxes had belonged to an officer of the Boka Naval Society at the beginning of the 19th century, and were bought as a part of the uniform and pistols from Mrs Mira Kosovic-Radimir in Split in 1993.
