Turkish battle-axe


17th to 18th centuries Wood, silver, iron 16.5 x 66 cm Four-sided iron head with a slightly curved tip, inlaid with silver wire. The ornaments are done in the 'rumi' style. The hilt is wooden, the upper part of it sheathed with ornamented silver reinforcements. Leather sheath in the middle. The reinforcements in the upper part of the hilt are missing.
