Crossbow with windlass


Steel, wood, bone 16th century 72 cm The handle is covered with ivory and decorated with stars. Bow made of iron, fixed to the stock with interlaced rope. The windlass consists of a crenate handle, nut with a semicircular handle and leather-wrapped ring for placing on the stock of the crossbow. Found in Krapina. Bought from Sv. Gaj in Zagreb.
