Great seal of the Craftsmen's Guild in Vukovar


Vukovar 1802 Brass diameter 4.7 cm, height 7.2 cm Round; at the top of the seal field a crown from which descend garlands and below the crown five (3:2) quartered shields, holding two symbols of various crafts: the first of chimney sweeps and wheel-makers, the second of carpenters and turners, the third of barrel-makers and cabinet makers, the fourth of upholsterers and goldsmiths, the fifth of potters and bricklayers. In the middle, on a pedestal, the figure of the Mother of God with Christ and mark of the year: 1820. Surrounded by an inscription placed on the inside of a beaded edge: SIGIL./Siegel/ DER:PRIVILEG:(:irter) MEISTER:(zunft) IN. VUKOVAR. Four-sided brass handle, slightly expanding towards the top.
