Vase with medallions

    height 48 cm, diameter of the opening and base 18 cm

    Vase with an elongated neck, widened opening and handles shaped as intertwined snakes. The belly holds a multicoloured pastoral scene in medallions. The octagonal base is gilt.

    Bought in 1988 from Herta Mazuranic.

    The vase was a wedding gift from I. Mazuranic and his wife A. Demeter to Julija Halper, granddaughter to Jelisaveta Demeter, the sister of Mazuranic's wife.
