Cups and saucers


Slavkov, Bohemia signature Lippert & Haas in Schlaggenwald, 840 1840 Porcelain, painted cup height 11.5 cm, saucer diameter 16 cm Made of porcelain painted in pink, with handles. The cups are gilded on the inside, while on the outside there is a figure of an unknown man - a colonel of the First Banal Borderland Regiment. The gilt saucer has an inscription 'Vergiess nie deinen Freund Gustav'. The other cup holds the figure of an unknown young woman. Franz Zasche painted both cups in 1840. The cups and saucers had belonged to the family of J. Jelacic. A gift from Anka Jelacic in 1937. M.
