Illyrian glass


Croatia 1845 Glass, gold beads height 12.2 cm, diameter 8.1 cm The glass is cylindrical in shape, lined with multicoloured glass beads forming a motif of the Croatian and Illyrian coats of arms topped by a crown, and a horn of plenty with an arrow and anchor, from which protrude flowers and a flower wreath. The top and bottom glass rim is lined with blue beads with an inscription: Bog zivi narodnost 1845. Bought in 1934 from Dr Rubinstein.
