    Homespun, woollen fabric, embroidery
    middle of the 19th century


    A short tunic of creamy-white homespun, embroidered with folk motifs made of blue and red woollen yarn. The hem is made from light blue homespun. Inlaid with fine, thin red woollen fabric. The sleeves are wide and long. Half-rounded pockets in the front. The tunic is embroidered with red, yellow, green and blue woollen yarn.

    According to a note in the old inventory, tunics like this one were worn by ladies in Zagreb between 1848 and 1850.
