probably made in Croatia
around 1800
Walnut and beech wood, rattan
settee height 90 cm, width 125 cm, chair height 93 cm, seat width 47 cm
The suite consists of a settee and two chairs whose backs have arched splats, while the seats are made of rattan (the rattan is new). The legs have four edges, with a thicker square section on the top, thinning out towards the feet. The suite belonged to J. Jelacic, and judging by the photographs taken in 1936, we can conclude that it stood in the inner gallery in the Novi Dvori near Zapresic.
Bought in 1992 from Ivan Gerersdorfer and Jagoda Saric from Zagreb.
Restored in 1996 by Mato Blekic, HPM.
