Jug of a journeyman from the Gradec Boot-Makers' Guild

    Jug with a lid and a bow-shaped handle. Cylinder-like surface forged in hexagonal planes, with small legs in the shape of sitting lions. The same motif reappears on the lid. The jug has an inscription engraved on it: Janus Jurjevchich Dekan mester / Plemenitoga Czeha Sostarszkoga / Otecz Mester Mattiahas Subich / y Vesz Ceh je pomogel / napraviti ovu Kantu 1721. Mihal Stupuszin Biar M. The central facet has a wreath on it, and to the left the following inscription: Mihal Szmerien Dekan Mester postenem Mladencze/m/ sostarszkem Tomas Ladich Mlaszi Vicze Dekan.

    Donated by the First Workers' Society in Zagreb at the end of the 19th or the beginning of the 20th century.
