Gloves


18th century Silver and gold knitting, embroidered with gold thread and silk in various colours 27 x 14 cm A pair of gloves knitted out of fine silk thread. Slits on the upper side. On the top richly decorated with thickly embroidered flowery and leaf motifs. In the middle a medallion in relief with the motif of stylised cross. By permission of the Bishop of Zagreb Juraj Posilovic, given to the National Museum from the Zagreb Cathedral Treasury by the 'keeper of the cathedral' Franjo Budicki. Restored in 1995 in the textile workshop of the Croatian Institute for Restoration.
