The statue of St Quirinus shows him dressed in bishop's vestments with a high mitre on his head and a wide pluvial over his back. In his lowered left hand the saint holds a mill wheel. The statue stands on a console base, and is shown in a posture of suppressed torsion and light contrapposto attitude. Marks of individualisation and psychological characterisation of the face are clearly recognisable. The statue probably came from the altar of Saint Peter and Saint Paul, commissioned by Martin Borkovic (1668-1687), bishop of Zagreb, for the Zagreb Cathedral.

Bought for the Museum in 1992 from Mrs Lidija Pecrik from Zagreb. The statue was for a long time kept in a country house in Budinscina.
