Hand-held cross

    On the front of the cross there is a carved scene of the Crucifixion surrounded by saints. On the back there are motifs of the Baptism and the Annunciation. The cross handle is strengthened by the motif of braids, and the edges of the silver frame are richly decorated with twisted wire, baskets made in filigree and three-foiled flowers, in places filled with granules of red and white stones.

    Bought for the Museum in 1994 from Mrs Herak-Miholjevic.

    Restored by Maja Velicogna Novoselac in 1996.
