The reverse holds a shield with the inscribed year: '1815' (the year in which Lombardy was annexed). Above the two-headed eagle there are two crossed swords and a crown. The order mark hangs on a sash that is golden yellow with two blue strips at the sides. The star is eight-pointed. In the centre enamelled field lies the Iron Crown.
