A middle-aged man sitting at a brown wooden desk, with several small objects on it. He has thick brown hair, blue eyes, brown moustache and whiskers; dressed in a white shirt, black waistcoat and dark grey coat.
Ljudevit Farkas Vukotinovic, lawyer, botanist and geologist, follower of the Illyrian movement, is one of the founders of the National Museum. In the period from 1855 to 1862 he was the 'keeper' of the whole National Museum.
The watercolour was donated in 1899 by Oto Koritic-Mrazovecki, a grandson of Farkas-Vukotinovic, from Krizevci.
