Tarot cards decorated with town views and figures dressed in folk costumes and costumes from the first performance of the opera 'Ljubav i zloba' (Love and Malice) by Vatroslav Lisinski. Tarot number V shows the National Hall, the palace in Opaticka Street that had housed the National Museum. On the heart/walker card the signature reads: IZDATE PO JOSIPU BACKU / U ZAGREBU, and on the heart/horseman card the motto reads: SLOGA OD BOGA, with the Illyrian star and half-moon.
Apart from housing the National Museum, the National Hall building also had a large hall on the first floor in which balls and social gatherings were held; that hall gave the cards their name.
Place and time of acquisition unknown; the cards are a part of the museum inventory from the end of the 19th century.
