Franjo Jelacic (Petrinja, 1746 - Szala-Apathy/Hungary, 1810)


Slavonia drawn by Louis (?) Jaley 1795 Watercolour on paper 13,5 x 10,9 cm Bought in 1992 from Ivan Gerersdorfer in Zagreb. For years the Museum has been collecting paintings and items connected to ban Josip Jelacic and his family. An important number of items had come to the Museum collections through the bequest of Countess Anka Jelacic, and in the recent years by acquisitions from Mr Gerersdorfer. The bought items include this miniature portrait of Jelacic's father.
